Contact

One address, read by the person who builds the calculators: hello@aussiecalculators.com. There is no phone line and no contact form, because a form needs a mailbox behind it and this is a one-person site.

Reporting a figure that looks wrong

This is the message we most want to receive, and the one this site is built to make possible: every page prints the official source and the date it was checked, so an error can be pinned to a number rather than argued about.

If you have found one, the four things that make it fixable in one pass:

  • The page — the address, or just the payment or tax it is about.
  • What the page says, and what you believe it should say.
  • Where you read the official figure, if you have it — a link to the ATO, Services Australia, the Social Security Guide or a state revenue office page.
  • The date the official page was last updated, if it is printed on it. Rates change on 1 January, 20 March, 20 September and 1 July, and a page can be right in one month and stale in the next.

We check the claim against the source before changing anything. If the source says what the page says, we will reply with the wording and the date rather than quietly editing to match a second-hand figure.

Reusing or embedding a calculator

The tables are free to quote, and the widgets are free to embed — one line of HTML, no sign-up. Both are described here:

If you are writing about Australian money and want a figure checked before you publish it, ask. We would rather answer than be quoted wrongly.

Privacy

The calculators run entirely in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us — the privacy policy sets out exactly what is and is not collected. If you believe something on this site has handled your data differently, write to the address above and say so.

What we cannot do

We are not registered tax agents, we are not the ATO or Services Australia, and we cannot give advice about your circumstances, lodge anything for you or chase a payment on your behalf. The disclaimer says the same thing in more detail; the methodology page explains how the figures are checked.

How quickly you will hear back

A correction is usually checked against the official page within a few days, and the reply will say what the source says — including when the source agrees with the page and the report was mistaken. Licence and embedding questions get a shorter answer, because the answer is usually "yes, here is the line of HTML".

There is no support desk and no ticket number. One person reads the inbox, in the order it arrives.

Who you are writing to

An independent publisher, not a company and not a government body. The site carries no affiliate links and no sponsored placements, so a reply will never try to sell you something; it is funded by display advertising alone. That is also why the answer to "can we pay to be listed" is no — the tables are free to use with a link, and there is nothing else to buy.
